آقای کارسون، تریبون دادن به تریتا پارسی و سوالات یک‌سویه و سعی در قربانی نشان دادن جمهوری اسلامی از خونشویی شما نشأت می‌گیرد 

شما انسانی هستید که به راستی می‌شود به عنوان یک شخص سوءِ استفاده گر، یک شخص گدا از جمهوری اسلامی و یک شخص سقوط کرده دانست 

چراکه می‌توانستی از تریتا پارسی سوالاتی در مورد شکستش در دادگاه حسن دایی سؤال کنی. می‌توانستی از رابطه او با تهران سؤال کنی. می‌توانستی در مورد اظهار نظر سران جمهوری اسلامی که نایاک برای جمهوری اسلامی فعالیت می‌کند و لابی جمهوری اسلامی در آمریکا است سؤال کنی، اما این کارها را نکردی. تو در واقع خون شستی، تو در واقع در رفتاری بسیار بسیار غیرحرفه‌ای سعی کردی جمهوری جنایتکار اسلامی را قربانی نشان بدهی، این فروپاشی اخلاقی تو بود، این گدایی از جمهوری اسلامی بود، این حمایت از جنایتهایی بود که تو، آقای کارسون، از جمهوری اسلامی میکنی. تو میدانی جمهوری اسلامی پدرخوانده تروریست است. میدانی در ایران جنایت میکند، کشتار میکند و تو میدانی که جمهوری اسلامی شر مطلق دنیاست، اما چنان دلسوزانه صحبت میکنی و چنان سعی میکنی به دروغ مواردی را مطرح کنی که اصل داستان و اصل جریان جمهوری اسلامی بیرون نیاید

 Mr. Carlson, what you did was not journalism. It was advocacy for a murderous and criminal regime that has recently killed tens of thousands of Iranians. Mr. Carlson, giving Trita Parsi a platform, asking one-sided questions, and attempting to portray the Islamic Republic as the victim all stem from your effort to whitewash its crimes. You have shown yourself to be someone who can rightly be described as an opportunist, someone begging for favor from the Islamic Republic, and someone who has suffered a complete moral collapse. You could have asked Trita Parsi about his loss in the lawsuit brought by Hassan Dai. You could have questioned him about his relationship with Tehran. You could have asked about statements made by senior officials of the Islamic Republic describing NIAC as an organization that works on behalf of the regime and serves as its lobby in the United States. But you chose not to. Instead, you chose to whitewash bloodshed. In an extraordinarily unprofessional interview, you tried to portray the criminal Islamic Republic as the victim. That was your moral failure. It was your willingness to serve the interests of the Islamic Republic. It was your support for the crimes committed by that regime. You know that the Islamic Republic is the godfather of terrorism. You know it commits atrocities and massacres people in Iran. You know it is one of the world’s most dangerous regimes. Yet you speak about it with sympathy and repeatedly attempt to misrepresent the facts so that the true nature and crimes of the Islamic Republic remain hidden. Shame on you.
